Everybody’s talking about Wes Anderson’s short film Hotel Chevalier — which will be playing before his feature The Darjeeling Limited in theaters this fall — mainly because Natalie Portman gets naked in the short. What they often fail to notice is how meticulously crafted and how intensely subtle the story ends up being, as well as the most awesome inclusion of Peter Sarstedt’s “Where Do You Go To (My Lovely)” as the background music for the film. I’ve also heard that Anderson edited the whole film on his personal Mac.
