21 things you didn’t know you could recycle
Yesterday, I learned that I could actually recycle the lids of Starbucks coffee cups. (Thanks Shazeen!) I knew you could recycle the sleeves, but the lids were a revelation to me.
Which is why the extensive list on Co-Op America is not only important, but timely. In short, the list includes:
- Appliances
- Batteries
- Cardboard boxes
- CDs/DVDs/Game disks
- Clothes
- Compact fluorescent bulbs
- Compostable bio-plastics
- Computers and electronics
- Exercise videos
- Eyeglasses
- Foam packing
- Ink/toner cartridges
- Miscellaneous
- Oil

- Sports equipment

- Sports equipment
- Toothbrushes and razors
- Tyvek envelopes
- Stuff you just can’t recycle
