Squandrous

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of weddings, that I love the declarations of love and the celebrations of togetherness and the curation of all things pretty.

This morning, I took stock of some of the weddings I think I’ll be attending this coming year, and so far, I’ve only been invited to two. Not a problem, of course, but a bit strange considering that I attended six weddings in 2007, five weddings in 2008, and another five weddings in 2009.

Maybe fewer people are getting married this decade? Maybe I’ve just run out of friends that aren’t already married?

Or maybe it’s just that people aren’t as quick to send out invitation cards these days.
