Roger Ebert, the critic behind the thumb

As a film industry writer and part-time film critic, I have to tip my hat to Roger Ebert. He may not be my favorite critic, but his knowledge and love for film shines in every single article and review he may write.

He was also the man that made film criticism glamorous: a man that inspired young people like me to believe that there is some value in a domain that many consider unnecessary in today’s on-demand world.
