Life Before Google: A Short Story (via)
Last summer, on our trip to Barcelona and London, Maria and I decided to disconnect from the web completely. One of the side effects of this decision was that we regularly came across names, places, ideas, and things that we would want to Google for more information, but didn’t because of our resolution to stay disconnected.
At the end of the trip, we had created a sizable list of “things we could have Googled but chose not to” — a list that I found a few weeks later as I was going through some paperwork and that reminded me of swing sets, flags, Amy McDonald, tweezers, Punnett squares, Brian Boitano, and easily the best vacation I’ve ever had.
