I am exhausted. Not in the “been a long day” sense, but in the “haven’t had a good night’s sleep in weeks” sense. My body is physically drained, but when I go to bed I can barely string together twenty minutes of sleep before I wake up again and stare at the ceiling for half an hour before I doze off again.
I think I just need to get home for a little while, and I’ll be okay.
Or maybe I just need to find an isolated bench in a secluded part of a park on a sunny and warm weekday afternoon and just let myself lie there until I get pulled into a deep and peaceful slumber.
Either way, I need a nap.
