Nine months ago, I moved into a neighborhood in Toronto called The Junction. That part of town has a ton of character, and is slowly filling itself with art galleries, fun shops, great bars, and tasty restaurants.
It’s still growing, still up and coming — the neighborhood was under prohibition until as recently as 1999 — so it’s fun to look back at what the place looked like, just a few decades ago.
blogTO has compiled an incredible set of archival photos of The Junction. I love that, despite the fact that the neighborhood has changed so much, there are still parts of the old that I recognize amidst the new.
