Holiday Truth (Public Transit Mix)
I was on the bus this morning, and sitting there was one of those guys with his music coming out of his headphones so loud that the whole bus could hear him. Everyone on the bus was visibly annoyed.
Instead of pouting, I decided to put the overly-loud hip hop beats to use, and started freestyling badly-formed Christmas rap lyrics to the music. Out loud. Just for fun.
Most of the passengers on the bus found it quite amusing, and some of them even joined in and dropped some really awful freestyle rap verses. So much holiday fun.
Anyways, I pulled out my iPhone and recorded one of my rap verses (using iTalk, it’s awesome) and came home and added a real beat to it using Garageband. The result? The poorly-produced Christmas rap above.
Why?
Because it made the people on the bus laugh, and because life is too short to take yourself too seriously.
